CONFESSIONS OF A SHOPAHOLICS -THE MOVIE !!

If anyone ask me what's my favourite books are, I would say (without a doubt): Confessions of a Shopaholics Series.
I do love other good books, but these Shopaholics series has deserved a special place on my book shelves ^o^

I've been following the series since several years ago when the first book has been released and available in Indo. After reading the first book I was so mesmerized by the stories in it, the way the author (Sophie Kinsella) told the stories are amazing and highly addictive. And then the second book came out, and the third, and the fourth, and the fifth, and I COLLECTED THEM ALL ! ^____^

I will go crazy in the bookstore when I found out that there has been a new issue coming out. Searching the chicklit section of the bookstore and when I finally found the new issue I would looked around the store trying to find my hubby and then drag the book to him (or sometimes dragging him to the book ^^) just to show how excited I was.

I remember that I would feel HAPPY even before I opened the first page, just to touch the book's hard cover, knowing that I will be lost in it again with all those dreamily stories of a true shopaholic and imagining what kind of shopping experiences that Becky Bloomwood would have this time. For you who haven't read Confessions of a Shopaholics series, the main character's name is Rebecca or Becky Bloomwood.

Now you can imagine it when I found out that TouchStone Pictures are finally making a movie out of it !
My hubby is the first to tell me the news as he was browsing through lists of new movies that's gonna be out this year.
He is the loveliest husband in the whole world, he knew how much I'm crazy about Becky Bloomwood and her accute-shopaholic thing so when he found out that they were making the movies he rushed out to tell me about it, he knows me very well ^__^

The actress who will play Becky Bloomwood in the movie is Isla Fisher.
They say Isla has a cute, charming and goofy-like-a-little-girl character that resembles Becky Bloomwood.
I might agree with that, I think she could play Becky Bloomwood really well.
Ooh, I couldn't wait til the movie aired here !

The Director is P.J Hogan who has directed My Best Friend's Wedding.

Confessions of a Shopaholic Movie Synopsis

Rebecca Bloomwood (Isla Fisher) is a sweet and charming New York City girl who has a tiny, little problem that is rapidly turning into a big problem: she's hopelessly addicted to shopping and drowning in a sea of debt. While Rebecca has dreams of working for a top fashion magazine, she can't quite get her foot in the door—that is, until she snags a job as an advice columnist for a new financial magazine published by the same company.

Overnight, her column becomes hugely popular, turning her into an overnight celebrity, but when her compulsive shopping and growing debt issues threaten to destroy her love life and derail her career, she struggles to keep it all from spiraling out of control...and is ultimately forced to reevaluate what's really important in life.
