Hi lovelies, I haven't posted a giveaway here for a while so here's one for you!  (^_^)

Incase you don't know, I like reading :) I love reading anything from a good book, literature, biography, even wikipedia and blogs! I don't really enjoy newspaper though because I hate reading criminal reports, etc - it makes me paranoid (*cringe*).

Michelle spent a long time in India to do some research for this book so you will find lots of details from interesting places and historical background in India that relates to this book. That's  how serious Michelle is ... and I always appreciate a thorough historical details in a book (because I love history as well).

Q: Along similar lines, what was the research process like for Rebel Queen?
A: With each of my novels, the research always begins in the country where the novel takes place. In this case, it was India. Because I married an Indian man, the research for this novel was considerably easier than it would have been without someone to translate Hindi documents for me or take me on a tour of various sites within India. As with each novel, the research involved a lot of traveling and reading, which for me is one of the best parts about writing historical fiction.

This is like sampling the most popular products from Shaw treatment all at once! And I didn't waste any time to try them out. I took a bath that afternoon with the Swahili Coast Face & Body Cleanser, wash my hair with the Volumizing Shampoo & Conditioner, and put on the Body Lotion afterward. And the first thing I noticed is: the scent. It was HEAVENLY.

Oh I love the scent of the Swahili Coast line.. I can't describe it to you but it's just spellbinding. A little bit like vanilla. Wait, no, I think it was coconut...added with tropical fruit infusion. Yes, that's it! And I just simply love it.

Crystallized Business Card Case (Review+Giveaway) - CLOSED

I'm really sorry for not writing for so long, it's just the last 2 weeks has been very busy for me. It started with the Jakarta Fashion Week that started around 2 weeks ago, I was covering the whole shebang on my fashion blog so I have to go to fashion week every day and give full reports at night of the same day, pfiuh! For the review, I thought I'd asked for their personalized service by ordering a White Crystal Business Card Case. I was going to a big blogger event a couple of weeks ago and I already got myself a free pack of business cards so I thought a representative business card case would be great. I chose the White crystal over the other crystallized options because I thought it would be neutral enough (well, I considered the pink crystal too since the color is very lovely but decided to go with white anyway).

When the business card case arrived (the shipment was fast enough for international shipping.  That means the ordering process is quick and looks like they processed my item fast enough). And here is my new crystallized business card: 

The business card case was made of a polished silver case frame covered with over 240 shimmering white crystals on the front, while the personalized inscriptions were at the back. Looks pretty, isn't it?

The inscriptions at the back of the case were engraved prettily and adds a touch of luxury to the case. Engraving are free (no extra cost) and you can personalized it up to two lines - max 25 characters per line (just like mine above). 

The case can hold up to 20 business cards, perfect to tote around even in your tiny little clutch bag. My freshly arrived business cards looks more cool inside the white crystal card case, I just love it (and I can't help to keep showing it around too ;p).

Overall, I love the whole appearance of my new business card case although my personal taste would have wanted the crystals to be a bit more sparkly and blingy, you know.. but that's just me ;p

The more important thing is I'm happy to know that the crystals are still intact after all those reckless gestures of mine (I used to change bags every other day and whenever I changed bags I will took the case and shoved it to the other bag, and then whenever I'm working I would take it from the bag and put it anywhere near me as long as there's a surface ;p) So yeah, the crystals are quite durable, and I'm satisfied with that.

This white crystal business card case is $45 but currently it is on SALE for $40.

As for the quality of the case, we're talking about good quality with affordable price here. Very recommended. I love the polished silver case, if you don't like the crystal ones you can try other style, there are a few options of Business Card Holder to choose from.

I also like the fact that you don't need to pay extra for personalized inscriptions, and the shipping is fast (they can ship the item the next day right after you ordered).

So with a service like that and no extra charge for personalized item (I'm not quite sure if all items has this service, please check first) you should consider getting something from Executive Gift Shoppe for the special person (especially guys) on your christmas gift list.

Ylang-Ylang candle and Organic Eye Oil (Review+Giveaway) - CLOSED

I got a toothache, sob :(
And I got a rather bad mood too today..
But thanks to the Ylang-Ylang candle from Raw Gaia I can reduce my bad mood. Ylang-ylang has great calming qualities and it also helps to relax the nervous system and to help combat feelings of stress, shock, anger, fear and/or anxiety. Perfect!

It's a great big candle (which I love, perfect for decor too) and I also got myself Raw Gaia's Revitalising Eye Oil. I've always been wanted to try to use eye oil because at my age I think I should start treating the area around my eyes before it's too late.

The Revitalizing Eye Oil is great for nourishing, conditioning and repairing the delicate skin around the eyes, thanks to its high content of vitamins, EFAs, carotenes and antioxidants. It's made with organic cold-pressed oils of sea buckthorn fruit (that has amazing skin repairing and regenerative properties), jojoba (a natural humectant), rosehip (a skin hydrating and nourishing agent, rich in vitamin C and essential fatty acids), and grapeseed (has wonderful regenerative and moisturising properties).

I put this on every night after I clean my face and before I go to bed. I did notice that the area around my eyes are a little bit brighter in the morning, at least it doesnt look 'lumpy' and 'soggy' as it sometimes is. I think it would need a longer time to see the end result, but as for now I'm quite positive that it does give something promising for your eyes.
The only thing that I'd like to suggest is to put more detail in the bottle on how to use it, because it only says "use one drop per eye". I mean, with that instruction someone might have mistaken it for an eye-drop which it ISN'T. You have to massage the eye oil into the area around the eye.
I don't know whether it came with an individual box that contain some instruction on how to use it or not, because for this review I didn't get any box, just the products, but still... i think they should put more info on the bottle.

And as for the Ylang-ylang candle, I love how big it is! And it smells wonderful although it didn't let out a strong scent when it burned, so if you're into a soft and not over-powering scent then this is for you. It could last for 50 hrs burn time too so for £3.95 or $6.20 (there's a currency converter on their website) it's really worth the price. The candle is hand-made entirely from plant wax, coconut and sustainably harvested palm oils. They contain no animal products or petroleum-based paraffin wax. Yeay for earth-friendly products!

What I love most about Raw Gaia is the fact that they use only 100% Natural and Raw ingredients for 99% of their range. They don’t use any chemicals whatsoever so their products really are natural. They also don’t test their products on animals and will not use ingredients or suppliers who undergo animal testing, they are also registered with the Vegan Society. HOW COOL is that? Stress Relief and Peppermint lipbalm from Aromatic Health (+ Giveaway!)

After waiting for a few weeks finally the package from Aromatic Health is here!! I'm so excited to try these two simple but very useful items: a Peppermint lip balm (cos I'm a lip balm sucker) and a Stress Relief roll on oil (because I easily got stressed).

Aromatic Health is a Canadian based online store where you could find clinical aromatherapy & products for health & wellness, pre/postpartum healing, baby & skin care. I love the fact that their products are handmade, and they only use pure and organic essential oils and raw ingredients. What's not to love about that? Now here's my 2 new essential items:

I like the look of the products, the comforting soft green color and the professional looking label. But what I love most is the product itself, especially the Stress Relief. This Stress Relief roll-on gave me the result I wanted.

My doctor always said that I stressed a lot. I think about a lot of things and that made me stress either I realize it or not. And that's bad for my health. That's why I quit my office work a couple of years ago because my health is deteriorating due to high stress.

And psstt... this is only between me and you, sometimes I have anxiety attack. It started a few months back but I don't know what causes it. It would start with my feet getting cold and then I started freaking out and stressed out and then my heart beats really fast. I even went to ER one night because I thought something happened with my body. But they always say I'm alright, I guess that's where I learned that I was actually experiencing an Anxiety Attack.

Thank God I hardly get them now, but sometimes my feet still got cold all of a sudden and whenever I started to stressed out I just grab this Stress Relief roll-on and glide it on my temple and nape of the neck as instructed in the bottle, and everything will be okay. I will start to loosen up and even forget about the cold feet.

This thing is also very useful during work. Sometimes if I got a load of articles to write with a very short deadline I stressed out. And it would turn me into this Lady Gaga slash Sue Sylvester from Glee - which translate to: crazy b**ch with a really bad temperament (poor hubs).
But not with this Stress Relief on hand! I just apply it on the temple and the back of my hands, it would relax me a bit because this stress relieving blend of essential oil is packed with anxiolytic properties that has relaxing effect.

I say: thumbs up for this Stress Relief product. I never leave home without it now.

And as for the Peppermint Lip Balm, well what can I say? It's minty, it moisturize my lips and it's not greasy or leave residue on my lips. It's also contain No artificial fragrances or preservatives and Non-Toxic! So if you're looking for a good minty lip balm then this should be your choice.
