Inspirations: Vanity Table Ideas

Tuesday, August 13, 2013

There are a few design styles that I love and one of them is Feminine Vintage or Classic Romantic. I love the vintage romantic style with it's classic feminine feel. To me, it brings back memories of the glamorous golden old days, when everything is much simpler, and where women and men dress accordingly, and everything is done by the social rules ;p

It's a very girly design style so your husband probably wouldn't love it as much as you do, LOL. But here are some classic romantic style that would goes great on the vanity table:

All the photos above are from Pinterest (I just love that website to gain ideas and inspirations), and you can click the photo source link that I put below each photo to go straight to the original source of the photos above.

You might notice that my inspirations above also include a little bling here and there for a glamour feel. I'm just an ordinary girl who love her blings ;)
Speaking of blings, a wedding ring is an ultimate bling. If you're in the market for a beautiful wedding ring you can check out this website below..

Toodles,

Ylang-Ylang candle and Organic Eye Oil (Review+Giveaway) - CLOSED

Tuesday, October 19, 2010

I got a toothache, sob :(
And I got a rather bad mood too today..
But thanks to the Ylang-Ylang candle from Raw Gaia I can reduce my bad mood. Ylang-ylang has great calming qualities and it also helps to relax the nervous system and to help combat feelings of stress, shock, anger, fear and/or anxiety. Perfect!

It's a great big candle (which I love, perfect for decor too) and I also got myself Raw Gaia's Revitalising Eye Oil. I've always been wanted to try to use eye oil because at my age I think I should start treating the area around my eyes before it's too late.

The Revitalizing Eye Oil is great for nourishing, conditioning and repairing the delicate skin around the eyes, thanks to its high content of vitamins, EFAs, carotenes and antioxidants. It's made with organic cold-pressed oils of sea buckthorn fruit (that has amazing skin repairing and regenerative properties), jojoba (a natural humectant), rosehip (a skin hydrating and nourishing agent, rich in vitamin C and essential fatty acids), and grapeseed (has wonderful regenerative and moisturising properties).

I put this on every night after I clean my face and before I go to bed. I did notice that the area around my eyes are a little bit brighter in the morning, at least it doesnt look 'lumpy' and 'soggy' as it sometimes is. I think it would need a longer time to see the end result, but as for now I'm quite positive that it does give something promising for your eyes.
The only thing that I'd like to suggest is to put more detail in the bottle on how to use it, because it only says "use one drop per eye". I mean, with that instruction someone might have mistaken it for an eye-drop which it ISN'T. You have to massage the eye oil into the area around the eye.
I don't know whether it came with an individual box that contain some instruction on how to use it or not, because for this review I didn't get any box, just the products, but still... i think they should put more info on the bottle.

And as for the Ylang-ylang candle, I love how big it is! And it smells wonderful although it didn't let out a strong scent when it burned, so if you're into a soft and not over-powering scent then this is for you. It could last for 50 hrs burn time too so for £3.95 or $6.20 (there's a currency converter on their website) it's really worth the price. The candle is hand-made entirely from plant wax, coconut and sustainably harvested palm oils. They contain no animal products or petroleum-based paraffin wax. Yeay for earth-friendly products!

What I love most about Raw Gaia is the fact that they use only 100% Natural and Raw ingredients for 99% of their range. They don’t use any chemicals whatsoever so their products really are natural. They also don’t test their products on animals and will not use ingredients or suppliers who undergo animal testing, they are also registered with the Vegan Society. HOW COOL is that? I always appreciate companies like this :)

Raw Gaia has many variety of products from face and body care to baby moisturizer. From essential oils to superfoods. You might wanna check out these gift sets too, it's perfect if you wanna get a taste of Raw Gaia:

This Bath time heaven gift set is on my number one list. It's like relaxing in a chocolate orange bath. Your face smothered with Raw Chocolate Face Pack and then lathered up with sensuous Rose Geranium Raw Soap and finished with a delicious Raw Chocolate Orange piece melting in your mouth. How bout that?

Or maybe this Raw beauty gift set? This set include 100% organic moisturizer, cleanser, toner, and clay face pack to leave your skin feeling and looking clean, smooth and radiant.

Also on my list is this Palmarosa & Chamomile Sea salt & Bath soak:

perfect in helping you recover from a stressful day.

Do good while you shop:
If you buy any one of their ethically sourced incense sticks, the money from the sale will be contributed towards supporting the Sri Aurobindo Yoga Mandir Trust, situated at the base of the Himalayan Mountains overlooking the Kathmandu valley, which takes care of underprivileged and orphaned children .

Mr.Right & Mrs.(always)Right - Dakota's Gifts Review

Sunday, September 26, 2010

I received these fantastic pair of pillow covers from Dakota's Personalized Gifts the other day, I showed it as a surprise gift to my husband for our anniversary. He was very surprised and his eyes lit when I showed him these...

It's a pair of personalized pillow covers. I personalized it with our names, hubby's nick name as Mr.Right and me being the Mrs (always) right, of course.. haha I thought it's such a funny yet thoughtful gift when I first saw it at the website. The sizing is generous, it's 20" x 32" and will fit your standard queen size pillow. It's made of a strong and durable 55/45 Cotton Poly Blend with 180 thread count so it's soft to your head.

It's machine washable, I did washed it in the machine and it turns out fine. The quality is good and for the price of $23.95 a pair it's a great option for an anniversary gift or a wedding gift.

Dakota's Gifts specialized in personalized items, they have many options to choose from. You can choose gifts by recipients, by occasions, by holiday and they also have a wedding section where you could get a lot of options for wedding purposes such as bridesmaids and grooms man's gifts, wedding keepsakes, anniversary gifts, gifts for the newlyweds, gifts for the parents, etc.

I always love personalized gifts, there's something special in it and most likely, it will be cherished forever. You might want to bookmark Dakota's Personalized Gifts for your Christmas gifts options ^o^ They have it all for the whole family. Here are some of my favorites:

for the whole family..

for the kids..

and something for the teacher..

and some other things..

I love my new fairy wooden letters ! (Review+Giveaway) - CLOSED

Monday, May 10, 2010

If you're looking for a cute wooden letters to decorate your children's bedroom or maybe to be hanged on the door, then look no further, Artiwood Letters should be considered for your source.

I am very lucky to have the opportunity to get some Artiwood Letters, because I haven't had any children yet so I decided to order my name instead. I ordered it in the "Fairy Alphabet" theme.
Well actually, this is what happened: I've been wanting a personalized wooden letters that spells my name since I was a teenager haha! So childish, I know. But I just couldn't help it. I love personalized stuff where you can have an item with your name on it ;p So anyway, when I saw these really cute fairy themed letters in a very pretty pink color I am so hooked and order my name immediately ;)

And here's what I received:

Aren't they so very cute? :D

Artiwood Letters is an eco-friendly, Australian based wooden toy company that specializes in the design and manufacturing of fun and colorful wooden painted letters. Beside the FAIRY alphabet theme they also have DOLPHIN, DINO, ANIMALS, and KOALA alphabet themes. They are all pretty cute and fun looking wooden letters. I personally love the Fairy theme because it's PINK!, and because I LOOOVE Fairies :D

The quality of the wooden letters are pretty good. The color is vibrant (my photos are a little bit dark because it was cloudy when I took the pictures, but the real color is more vibrant than the pics). I also love the painting of the fairies, the colorful details of the fairies only makes them more pretty! Every little girl (or adults :p) would love these and it looks so good on the door. The paint used are non-toxic lead-free paints so it's safe enough for children. I hanged these on my wardrobe closet door, I have a wooden closet so I hanged these letters on the wooden door, and it looks sooo cute!! i love it :D

The letters are made from a sturdy wood, it's sturdy but it's not heavy. The paint job is very neat and looks professional and every letter comes with a self-adhesive too so it's really easy to just attach it to any surface.

Overall, I love my Artiwood Letters. It's a great gift to give and it's personalized too. You can order any word or name you like. They can also write our personalized greetings & messages on a colorful sheet that accompany our order. This way it's perfect to send them straightly to the receiver. The cost is $3.95 per letter + $9.50 for shipping worldwide.
