Dompet

Friday, August 15, 2014

Beberapa waktu lalu saya sempat kehilangan dompet.

Thank you GOD for sending an honest woman to found my wallet.

Post Note:

Nah supaya mereka gak bingung jadi saya bakal pakai dua bahasa aja (kalau istilah dalam bahasa Venezuela nya: dual language) *halahh..

Jadi, post ini sekaligus tanda halaman baru yah...
Welcome to Tigerlily's Book - new edition ;)

 Cheers,

Hello again :)

Monday, February 11, 2013

Hey you guys....

How are you? I'm really sorry for abandoning this blog. I have been very busy with my fashion & beauty blog [TWO THOUSAND THINGS] and been neglecting this one. I felt like a very mean stepmother, LOL.

I was surprised to still accepting a few comments on my inbox from you guys on my last post which I wrote back in September of last year! One of the commenter, Londyn [Hi Londyn! :D] reminds me to keep this blog running again. She said that she wishes that I updated this blog again. And reading that one particular comment makes my spirit up and running again, and so I will try to update this blog again.

Let's start new in 2013, alright? :)

So, thanks to Londyn, I am gonna try to make this blog up and running again. I have made some plans for this blog and I think from now on I'm gonna be focusing this blog on several things:
  • Home Decor Inspirations
  • Gift Ideas
  • Places / Hotels to travels
  • and my general daily life
Those are the things that I found most favorited from my readers (according to my web statistics). Well except for the general daily life part, because I just added that one so I can have my own media to keep notes on my daily life ;p

So anyway, to start a new year I have bought a new journal back in early January!

I always have a journal on hand. I wrote all my important notes such as birthdays, appointments, due dates, etc.. and sometimes I kept important scraps too such as recent bills that I want to take a note of later, or hand notes, etc..

This is my journal for the past 3 years... :

I've been using my trusted pink leopard print journal since 3 years ago. It's a planner type with rings in the middle so I just changed the papers into a new one at every start of the year.

But this year I got bored with it and wanted to start fresh with a new journal. I also wanted a more simple journal that I can bring everyday on my bag because sometimes the pink journal above is too bulky. So when I found a new office supply store near my house, I browsed around and opted for this new small, simple, and cute journal instead:

I bought it at a new stationary and office supply store at Cinere area. That store has a lot of cute stationary such as cute unique pens and pencils, cute little notes, various styles of stickers, post-its, etc. Soooo fun to browse at!

I ended up buying a few other stuffs beside the cute journal above. I also bought a pen, a pencil, and a few other knic-knacks which I'm not gonna show here because I'm saving it as part of a giveaway prize bundle which I'm gonna held at my fashion & beauty blog soon ;)

So here's the cute team that now resides in my working table ^o^

I love everything about the journal. It's simple but has complete sections inside it for writing my plans and important dates as well as for keeping my appointments. And it's small and very lightweight too so I can just grab it and bring inside my bag without adding additional weight ;)

I also love both the pen and the automatic pencil. There are many styles of pens and pencils at the store and it was hard to choose which ones I'm gonna get. If I could, I want to buy them all, LOL. Because they are so cheap too! I think it was around IDR6000 - 7000 each. (around 6 or 7 cents). I think there were others with IDR 4000 tags too!

Sooo cute!

I still sometimes use my big bulky pink journal for storing important notes or to jot down random ideas, but I put it on my desk. I've been carrying the new smaller pink one instead. I think I'm gonna stop by that store again really soon ;p

I forgot the name of the store but it is located right beside the Ace Hardware Cinere. It even has a connection door to the Ace Hardware store so I'm guessing maybe they both are related somehow? ;p

So anyway, out with the old and in with the new.
Say goodbye to my old pink leopard print journal and say Hello to my new tiny pink dotted one ;)

 I'll see you tomorrow, guys...

Cheers,

Sitcom Floorplans

Thursday, August 16, 2012

If you think that watching your favorite sitcoms really makes your day, then how about seeing their living spaces from a different point of view? Check out these absolutely magnificent floor plan drawings from the best TV shows that you love so much.. I was in awe when I first saw these on Buzzfeed website.. :D

(you can click the picture below to enlarge)

That floorplan from Friends looks so real, it's like re-living the life of Chandler, Monica, Ross, Rachel, Joey and Phoebe all over again! And that Carrie Bradshaw's apartment also looks so real! I can imagine Carrie walking from the bedroom to the bathroom via her closet right now, right on that floor plan! ;p

So which TV shows are your favorites? You can find more floorplans on Buzzfeed website here..

What we ate lately

Monday, May 7, 2012

Just a quick post (because I'm hungry and need to eat right now ;p)...
I just ate a tiny bowl of instant noodle for lunch and now I am so hungry I need to look for food ^o^

So anyway here is a photo diary of the food we ate lately...

I made some corn creme soup for breakfast the other day and ate it with a chunk of French bread. Accompanied by a cup of hot Green Tea with added sugar, I really enjoyed that morning's breakfast by myself ;p

One late night, hubby K bought me this Blackpepper Hot Dog from Seven-Eleven. He put on a bit too much mustard on my hot dog (I'm not really big for mustard), but it was still a good 'ol hotdog sandwich ;) Oh and he got me the Blue Slurpee too (yummmmm......my favorite!).

A couple of days ago mom made this delicious breakfast dish! It's just a simple potato dish but it tasted so good it leaves me wanting more and more ;p

And this is what K ordered from one of our family sunday trip. This is Dolsot Bibimbap from a Korean stall at a food court. I always love the presentation of a bibimbap, but in terms of Korean food... No Kimchi for me Please! ;p

So what did you guys eat lately? ;)

Decor: Imaginative Kids Bedroom

Monday, September 19, 2011

Kids furniture always fascinates me. It somehow took me to my inner childhood fantasies. What's your childhood fantasy? Mine include a princess castle, some fairies, and a unicorn ;)

If only there were wide options on affordable cute kids furniture back then. Well I did have the privilege of having a bedroom with floral pink wallpaper, but that's about it. If only I were a kid of today I would likely browse colorful kids furniture that are now widely available on most furniture and home decor stores. If I had kids right now I would definitely spend hours and hours decorating their bedroom theme by theme ;)

My favorite kids bedroom theme is of course the all-pink princess-y themed girls bedroom. I even saw one photo of a bedroom with a bed of giant pink Cinderella's pumpkin carriage! And for boys' rooms I love pirates theme or jungle theme. Or maybe a F1 theme or trucks theme? Oh there are so many options to choose from..

The main part of the bedroom is always the bed. Kids beds always have the most wild imagination put to life. And then the rest of the decoration in the room will just follow. Oh how nice it is to be a kid in this modern time, you get to sleep inside a yellow truck! - LOL.

If you have kids, please put on something colorful or a theme that they like for their bedroom because I believe it will develop their imaginative skill and therefore build their creative skill even more. And that skill will come in handy once they're an adult. Because being creative is one of the skill you'll need to be able to survive. Am I right, or am I right? ;)

I Swear To Drunk, I'm Not God

Wednesday, March 9, 2011

I read something about drinking games the other day and i thought they are actually a hilarious game. There are many varieties of drinking games but of course it was purely for party fun and never intended to promote a drinking behavior.
If you asked me, I don't drink. Because I never like it.
But if you're talking about drinking tees, well I wouldn't mind about that ^__^ You know I always love t-shirts with fun characters, especially tees with words on it or tees with funny graphics. And a funny quotes on beer related t-shirt design sounds like a fun tee to wear ^o^

As an avid online surfer and shopping enthusiast I never realized that there is actually an online store who sell specialty themed t-shirts, such as couple t-shirts only, or drinking t-shirts only. It's kinda weird in a fun way. In example: a website that only sell drinking t shirt. They got beer t-shirts for the frat guy, wine t-shirts for the more sophisticated guy, and you can guess the rest. If you love to drink (or know someone who does), then this is the perfect place to get some cool drinking t shirt.

I only love the tees not the beer though.

Cows..

Friday, July 16, 2010

I have mentioned before about how I love seeing cows, I actually love the black and white of cow prints hence that's why I kinda collected cow-related things ;p I don't know why I'm so into animal prints; cow prints, zebra prints, leopard prints, giraffe prints, they all seems to always makes me feel excited, it's like whenever I saw one of those prints I always drawn into it automatically.

Now I don't want to show you my "black n white cow prints collection" because I don't have that many to show off ;) so I think I'll just share what I found on etsy instead..

1st row: DownTown Paper Press, StickMan Jewelry, JennieBGoode
2nd row: CountrySquirrelsRUS (look at the rear look, so funny!! haha)
3rd row: JooSweetie, Blondes Backyard, Mommies Ink

Say mooooo......
Feel like I wanna get my hubby right over here right now to see above cows and buy it for meee, all of theemm, as in right noooww....
I just can't handle the cuteness (le sigh).

The Calming TEA and The Pretty TEA SET

Tuesday, August 4, 2009

(afternoon tea, circa 1800s)

Tea is my favorite drink beside Coffee. I drink tea ever since I was a child, I remember my grandmother (who lives in the same house with me and my family) drink tea everyday. She had this green and white patterned Tea Pot which is a typical classic tea pot for commoners in my country at that time. I'm used to seeing her drink her tea in daily basis and so I found myself drinking tea from her tea pot too and I remember how good the tea tasted in my mouth. And then I drank Tea ever since.

The other day I was digging through my dad's old magazines when I found in one of them an article about the history of Tea. It's a very informative article and so I'd like to share it here (which I edited here and there without changing the main info) :

Well, it all began, legend has it, in 1840, with Anna Russell (see pic), wife of Francis Russell, the seventh duke of Bedford.
History has it that people in that era consumed large breakfasts and did not eat again until 8 or 9 o'clock in the evening. The duchess often has a sinking feeling in the afternoon which she remedied by serving tea and cakes around 4 o'clock. Thus began a British institution of Afternoon Tea that continues to this day (mostly well known as "High Tea") -- Well actually traditional High Tea is not the same thing as Afternoon Tea. In recent years, high tea has become a term for elaborate afternoon tea, though this is American usage and mainly unrecognized in Britain.

Who first brought the tea to England, the place where it all started? Well, there's no precise record about that but it was believed that Tea was boosted by the marriage of Catherine of Braganza (see pic), a Portuguese princess, to Charles II in 1662. Included in her dowry was a chest of tea.
At first, afternoon tea was limited to the aristocracy, though eventually the habit spread to the general population as it is today. The tea is served with various cakes and finger food such as scones or dainty biscuits and other pastries.

The finishing touch to the tea table is the Tea Set that usually comes complete with a pitcher of milk, a bowl of sugar, and perhaps a tray of lemon slices. Most important of all, the tea must be hot!

Now talking about Tea-Set, I have always dreamed of collecting pretty or unique Tea Sets someday (maybe if I have moved to my own house) because I always love seeing one especially the pretty antiques ones in pastel colors and flowery details like my mom has , she never use it, only for decorative use, sitting prettily in her glass cupboard. I'm sure that my fond of Tea Sets came from seeing those pretty sets that my mom has. And I hope someday I would have many collections of Tea-Sets that I would proudly show in my own glass cupboard too.

And if you want to hold an Afternoon Tea Party and couldn't quite figure it out how to exactly serve tea and host the party then you might want to look into this books, otherwise you could just put these good looking books in your tea table for conversation breaker.

aren't they lovely ?
